Whether you want to cut your own tree, pick a live tree and have it cut for you, buy a tree already cut or buy a living tree you can plant, this page provides detailed listings of Hampshire's
choose-and-cut Christmas tree farms, places to buy pre-cut (also called pre-harvested and fresh-cut) trees, stands, sleigh rides,
hay rides and related winter events and fun. Some listings are for tree farms, others are tree lots, and some only offer hay rides, sleigh rides or other winter events. READ EACH LISTING to know what each facility offers. The farms are listed further down this page, so scroll down the page! Since this service is free and open to ALL Christmas tree farms, not just those who belong to an association or pay for an ad, like almost all other websites do, this is the most complete and current listing available! I'm always looking for more to add, and to correct any inaccuracies or errors, so if you encounter any,
please email me!
Tips:
- If the name of the farm is blue with an underline; that's a link to their website. Click on it for the most current hours and information.
- ALWAYS call the farm or store BEFORE YOU GO to confirm their supply, their hours
and whether they have trees, are allowing choose-and-cut or just precut trees; and which attractions or winter activities are available.
All three can change during the short Christmas season, due to weather, demand and the farmer's business conditions! Farms get sold, shut down or run out of trees, and they don't all update me every day, let alone every year. For
more tips to make your trip fun
and successful, click here!
DON'T DRIVE OUT THERE IF YOU CAN'T REACH THEM BY PHONE OR EMAIL!
- And please tell the farmer you visit in Hampshire that you found their farm
here! I need the farmers to realize that you found them here so that they will keep their information up to date!
And if you know of one I missed and want to add it or correct the
information, please let me know! There are affiliate links on this page. Read our disclosure policy to learn more.
Updates for November 2024
November: Most Christmas tree farms open on the last Saturday
in November; Some open a month earlier to allow you to mark the tree you want while the weather is nicer!
The weather has been good for growing trees in 2017, so it looks like a great
crop.

Over 1,500 Christmas trees will arrive at the Park ready for sale from the
start of December. Three species are available, all sustainably grown, and
sourced from within the UK by the Forestry Commission. First, the
traditional Norway or European spruce, a little prickly and with a great
smell but which does not enjoy hot centrally heated houses. This species is
widely grown for its timber and in the 1960s large block was planted in QE
Forest close to the Holt Pond. Second, the Lodgepole pine which
originates from North America and is so named because of its use in the
construction of Native American tipi. This species is very resistant to
needle drop and is great with lights, standing outdoors. And
finally, the most popular of the three the Nordman fir. This species best
suits modern living, being needle fast and with a classic Christmas tree
shape. The trees are all cut with no
rooted or pot grown plants available. Once the tree has safely
arrived home it should be kept outside in water. Just before it is to be
taken in doors 1 inch should be cut off the base and the tree should be
located away from any heat sources or sunny windows and again kept in water
which must be regularly topped up. Once Christmas is over the tree
can be returned to QECP (minus all the decorations) to be recycled.
For more information about tree species and availability contact the shop on

often overlooked cousin of the traditional Christmas tree as we know it here
in the UK, but in fact is the original, the one planted in the public
squares of Edinburgh, New York, Oslo, and Washington, the one presented to
the great and the good, and in our opinion, the best...it holds its leaves
for the season, and quite simply, the most beautiful, the most
fragrant...the smell and spirit of a real Christmas...our favourite! We
plant over 4,000 trees a year, nurture them to perfection, and specialise in
the Norway Spruce (Picea abies), Nordmann Fir (Abies nordmanniana), and Blue
spruce (Picea pungens).the best suited for our climate, and therefore, the
best for you.
